We found Pagan on Yelp and glad of it! They provided exemplary customer service and excellent skills with very competitive rates - the best type of business plan! We hired them primarily to enlarge and remodel a walk-in closet and they did a beautiful job. They also installed crown molding, painted and installed new door knobs throughout the house. Brad supervised the job and the entire team was wonderful. They were extremely respectful of our space while working, installed floor coverings and walled off the dust by creating a pseudo-room so that we could still access our facilities and property. They were pleasant, polite and lovely to work with and we are looking forward to having them back to build out our deck - and any other project we can imagine.

We hired Pagan Construction after researching contactors on line. I am glad that we found them. We had them remove popcorn ceilings, retexture, paint and install baseboards. They did a great job. Brad and his team treat at every job as it is their own home and stand by their work and the quality. Their pricing is fair and their service is outstanding. We will be using Pagan construction for up coming projects and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality contractor with fair pricing who stands by the work that they do!

It's been a long time since I bothered to write a review, but when someone gives you honest information that benefits you, and not them I want everyone to know. I just moved into a new home and had need for Pagan Construction's services. We have an issue with Asbestos and construction issues. From the beginning Brad was great and very helpful.

Pagan did storm repair to our home. Brad was great, alway kept us in the loop. Got progress reports most every day. The quality of work was perfect, example; the home is vintage built with redwood siding. Pagan replaced with redwood in order to maintain original material. Any future repairs I'll be calling Pagan

I called Brad about an oven installation. He was very friendly and responsive and got the work scheduled right away. Alberto and Jose were right on time and did an excellent job, leaving everything clean and organized. Pagan is a great team to work with!
— Christine V.
I have now used Pagan twice and their service is unparalleled for promptness, quality and excellent communication. The service technician they sent Alberto was great. Each time he has come unprompted he took his shoes PDF before he came in the house. Thanks to Brad too for getting us scheduled so quickly.

Terrific Professional in every aspect. Work is done promptly, efficiently, and they give you trustworthy advice. They did a variety of projects for me on my house in Ross, laundry venting, exterior work on fascia, concrete work, drywall work. Perfect advance communication, in progress updates, and their employees are not only skilled, but polite and personable. I will be using them again.

Pagan helped me on various projects in my Tiburon house. We designed an amazing bar/ man cave for my husband. He rarely leaves that room now. We are in the process of adding a coffered ceiling with custom lighting to our dining room. Our next project includes a glass railing around our decks and a jacuzzi deck with landscaping. I would highly recommend their services. They are prompt, deliver projects on time, and they understand tricky budgets. Honest contractors that really care about your home and family are hard to find. These guys are trustworthy and do beautiful work.

Worked with Brad and his crew earlier this year - they were prompt and professional for their initial appointment to bid, and subsequent appointments to do the work. I appreciated their consideration of my budget and quality standards - they devised a solution to my home's structural issue in a way that satisfied both. The work was done quickly and they left with the area cleaner than it was before. I would recommend them.

I you are looking for work to be done right and on time call Brad at Pagan construction. They did a fantastic job removing a window and repairing the stucco you would never know that the window was removed. Great job Alberto!

My wife and I hired Pagan Construction to help with a leak that we had in our master bathroom. Brad was able to set up an appointment with one of his contractors who quickly evaluated the problem and set up a plan. This involved sheet rock work, plumbing, and painting. The work was done quickly and skillful. They were easy to communicate with, always arrived on time, and were responsible in cleaning up each day I would highly recommend Pagan Construction. In fact, we plan to use them again in the spring for a remodel.

I reached out to Pagan Construction to see if we can complete a few projects for our home with them. They called me back on the very same day (which is rare guys! ) and was very honest that our home is outside the vicinity of where they do work and it would be extremely difficult to commute daily to the worksite. I completely respect and appreciate his honesty and hope one day to be able to work with them.

Being a first-time homeowner I had a lot of questions about the condition of our house and also ideas for projects moving forward. Brad came over for a walk through and quote and was both professional and friendly - able to simplify things for somebody who knows very little bit about home ownership. It was refreshing to talk to someone who could keep it real - not just trying to sell their services. He addressed all my questions and helped me come up with a timeline for things moving forward. Most importantly he reminded me to "enjoy my house". He couldn't have said it better.
I have no hesitancy recommending Brad and his team and look forward to working together on our future plans.

I called and actually got a live person (not a machine) immediately answer. I explained my two problems (cracks near foundation and in wall). I sent him pix via e-mail. In just a few minutes, he explained how I could fix the problem myself and that it was not a serious problem. EXCELLENT SERVICE! HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

We had the pleasure of working with Pagan construction when renovating our recently purchased home in Marin. We found them on Yelp, and had a terrific overall experience with their team. I would not hesitate one second in giving them my highest recommendation.
Brad and Ed patiently helped guide us through our wish list while giving us great ideas on prioritizing our renovations. Over the course of a couple months they helped us remove popcorn ceilings, completely upgrade our entire electrical subsystem (new main disconnect panel, new GFCI circuits to all bathrooms and kitchen, LED recessed room and accent lighting throughout, "connected" smart light switches/thermostat/locks), install all new interior doors and hardware, paint the entire interior/ceilings/doors/trim, remodel one of our larger bedrooms into two smaller ones, and many other smaller projects along the way.
We made a number of changes to our original plans and they were very accommodating. They worked with our budget, with no overruns or surprises in labor costs, and final materials costs that were right in line with their original projection. The quality of their workmanship exceeded our high standards. They maintained excellent communication throughout the project with us, the City, PG&E, etc.. Their entire team was professional, courteous, clean, respectful and hard-working. We relied on their knowledge and experience and we are very happy with the results. We love our home thanks to Pagan and we look forward to working with them again in the future for other projects big and small!

I had occasion to call on Brad & Alberto again for home repairs. Our experience was just as excellent and stress free as our previous experience. We will never call upon another construction company as long as this company is here in San Rafael. Do yourselves a favor with no headaches and call upon this company so that you will feel that respectful, trustworthy and skilled and competent people still exist in our community. Thank YOU being so wonderful.

I was looking for a contractor to carry out a broad spectrum of home improvements ranging from a kitchen re-model to very small odd jobs. I contacted Pagan Construction in May after reading these positive Yelp reviews. Within a few days of my initial call, I met Brad at the property. Brad was professional, genuine, open and presented me with a clear pricing structure. He also gave me some great free advice which helped me to plan and scope the project appropriately.
The main jobs were knocking out two kitchen walls, changing out countertop and backsplash, re-configuring the existing cabinetry, upgrading the lighting and electrical fixtures throughout the house, installing base and crown molding (whole house), deck demolition and refinish, and about 40 small odd jobs. We made a game plan and work began in June. For 7 weeks every person I interacted with was kind and courteous. I especially enjoyed working with Ed Pagano because he brought a very keen artistic eye to the project and is brimming with simple ideas to enhance the "look" and/or the utility of a space.
The project ran on time and on budget. The results? Absolutely beautiful. I am extremely happy with how the house looks overall and especially the new kitchen has completely transformed the entire space.
If I had to say one area that could be improved upon next time it would be the final wrap up. We did the final walk through in August and agreed on the last few tasks to be completed. A couple weeks went by when was no activity (for various reasons both on my side and theirs). We've been slow to wrap things up over these past 4 weeks but, in the overall scheme, this is a minor point.
Overall, things happened when they said they would happen, the actual prices were consistent with the quotes, the communication was excellent throughout. Their pricing is very competitive, the work is high quality and, the best part, we had fun along the way! I was always made to feel like a valued customer. I am already planning future renovations and will definitely be seeking to work with Pagan again.

I appreciate Brad for providing ideas that I never considered before. Brad recommended that I break open a wall that is inside my master bathroom to see whether it is actually dead space or being used for something. Originally, we thought the space might be used for running electrical wires, but to my surprise, a space that is about 3' by 2 1/2" was empty behind a wall! As a result of this amazing discovery, I should be able to expand my master bath, without needing an expensive remodeling job of moving a wall to make the master bath bigger. Brad made other great suggestions, such as converting part of a room into a walk-in closet, which I never considered before. If you want good ideas for your next remodeling project, talk to Brad.

So I'll qualify this review right off the bat by saying I haven't had any work actually done by them yet. But after a recent flood, which caused a good deal of our downstairs to be disassembled, I called Pagan to give us a bid on reconstructing it--including a remodel of the flooded bathroom. Brad came out and looked around, asked some questions, answered a lot more questions, and in the end gave me several different options. He was extremely generous with his time and knowledge. But here's what really earned my trust: some of the options he gave me would mean a lot less work for him (and Pagan), and therefore less money. He suggested improvements not from the angle of selling (or upselling) their services, but from the point of view of what he would do if it were his house. He even suggested putting off the work I would be hiring them to do in order to do other improvements on the house...that would not be done by Pagan. So they have my trust, and, moving forward for big projects or handyman services, they will have my business, too.

We recently completed a six-month home renovation project with Pagan Construction, and I am pleased to say that we are very happy with the results. Ed Pagan has spot-on design sense, intensive and thorough experience in construction processes, and a really big heart. His business partner Brad is exceptionally responsive to customers, an efficient coordinator, a great communicator, and an all-around nice guy. The crew that labored on our house was always knowledgeable, courteous, clean, easy to get along with, and often went beyond the call of duty to not only help make our house gorgeous, but also to help make us as comfortable as possible while we lived in this construction zone. I recommend this company without hesitation to anyone wanting a fine end product as well as peace of mind while it's being created.
For anyone interested, here a few details of our project. My semi-retired husband and I own a modest 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that we were too busy in the last decade to keep current. We previously had hired an independent home inspector to tell us what needed doing. Pagan vetted, scheduled and coordinated subcontractors to upgrade all the major systems of our house, as well as did much of this work themselves. We got a new roof, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior painting and lighting, plus a completely remodeled BEAUTIFUL master bathroom and a garage made so spacious and spiffy that we can actually get a car inside it! Pagan took care of everything the home inspector flagged, and did that with style and grace.. We can now rest easy in our safe and lovely new home.
